Whether it's runway shows, magazine editorials, social media posts, street style, nostalgic trends, fashion news, brand collaborations, new collection drops or cool ad campaigns; ‘All The Vibes’ is a place where I let you know all of the fashionable things that should be on your radar.
So sit back, relax and enjoy! Let's get into round #15.
This is the cover shoot I never knew I needed. Gorillaz is back with another album and HIGHSNOBIETY spent time in LA with the world's foremost virtual band in their first styled shoot. Now, this is the virtual x IRL fashion hook-up I'm talking about.
Mother of Pearl designer Amy Powney, who won the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2017, is the subject of a documentary, Fashion Reimagined, that premiered at the start of London Fashion Week. It's an interesting fashion tale that looks at why Powney quit the fashion system to build a responsible luxury brand, and why it's such a hard thing to do in today's climate.
Tika the Iggy has a larger social media following than most. On Instagram, the 12-year-old dog boasts over 1 million followers and has become a firm favourite among the fashion week crowd. And how does such a star prepare for fashion week? Fashionista finds out.
Okay, so the Tiffany and Co. Nike collab was... disappointing to say the least. It didn't do anything fresh, new or innovative, instead, it just jumped on the back of the luxury streetwear bandwagon in a bid to cash in on the hype machine. As writer Christopher Morency puts it: "you can't buy cred."
I'm a lover of sneakers through and through. So, naturally, I enjoyed this piece from Footwear News where they interviewed Premium Goods owner Jennifer Ford. It's refreshing to hear how a woman has shaken up the footwear sector, and 18 years later is still going strong.
Shygirl for the Spring/Summer 2023 issue of AnOther Magazine in Schiaparelli... yes.
At the Converse Conception Creation Center in Boston, innovation is first and foremost. This is where they make the Chucks of the future and where their wildest ideas come to life. Really interesting to hear how they tackle issues of sustainability and overconsumption through their design process, and how upcycling is central to the Converse design ethos. I was unaware that they partner with vintage clothing retailer Beyond Retro to transform hundreds of pounds of jeans and dresses into sneakers. It's a yes from me.
If you ever wanted your little ones to be decked head to toe in LV, well your wishes have come true. Beginning March 3 in selected stores worldwide Louis Vuitton is launching a collection for newborns.
In China, people are more on board with the idea of virtual influencers than in other countries. The Chinese government has an ‘action plan’ to support the growth and innovation in this sector, but what could these flawless and surreal virtual beings mean for the future of the influencer landscape?
Photographer Zahra Reijs debut photo book Dear Future is a wonderful exploration of young Dutch style. Based in Rotterdam the photographer recalls the pushback she received growing up when she dressed a little more 'out there', and her latest work showcases the unapologetic fashion sense of Gen Zers today.
Riri is back at PUMA with her FENTY brand, the first time the musician and designer has synced up with the brand since her departure in 2017. What will come of his collaboration revival? That remains to be seen. But Complex Style takes a look back at their history from The Creepers to Fenty Paris Fashion Week.
60s photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri's striking images are a spectacle to behold. Through his photographs, he captures fantasy, adventure, wanderlust, drama and grandeur. At 85-years-old the photographer looks back on his category defining work, with an exhibition in Milan running until April 2023.
The SS23 fashion month season was lacking in size representation on the runways, and this extends to the way plus-size people are snubbed in the street style space.
Alexander McQueen's women's spring 2023 campaign, shot by Jonas Åkerlund, saw the likes of Naomi Campbell, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and Guardian of the Galaxy actress Pom Klementieff celebrate female strength and individuality.
An influencer went viral for cutting up her $2,100 Prada outfit to attend the brand's Fall/Winter 2023 runway show in Milan and the internet was pissed. Some thought it was ingenious, and some thought it was a cheap attempt to gain some clout. But what did Prada think? Well, apparently the influencer got permission from the brand before slicing into the outfit so there you have it.
