Kris Jenner is putting her offspring's latest celeb coupling to work. The devil works hard, but Mama Jenner works harder. Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny star in Gucci's new Valigeria campaign, and something about this whole thing is off. It's underwhelming, and it seems... mismatched? I don't know, it just doesn't sit right with me. Weird vibes all round.
Is anyone else bored of this tired old story yet? After a slew of high-profile layoffs — or 'amicable' departures depending on who you ask — the recent appointment of Sean McGirr at Alexander McQueen means that all creative directors at Kering fashion houses are now white men. And with Moschino announcing Davide Renne as its new design lead, yet another white male is in a top position. With so much diverse talent out there this shouldn't be happening. There are no more excuses. It's time for change, we all know that. We voice it, and we make memes and jokes about it to cope with the ridiculousness of it all, but when will something actually be done?
This is fucking disgusting. And in 2023, I can't quite believe this is happening even though we all know the world is a shit show at the minute. As revealed by The Times, a few of the world’s biggest modelling agencies have been scouting new recruits at refugee camps and then sending them back home penniless, sometimes in debt, and uncertain about their futures. This is the lowest of the low, fashion needs to do better.
Riri and her beautiful family are the gift that just keeps on giving. Also, they have to be one of the best-dressed couples out there are the minute. This pink Bottega bag is also everythingggg – Barbiecore really went mad this year, huh?
Creepy crawlies on tour. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect bed bugs to do the fashion month rounds before I did, kind of pissed about it ngl. But here we are. Bedbugs infiltrated Paris Fashion Week and as all the fashion month goers returned home, they were accompanied by some special little guests. I was laughing about it until I saw that the critters had been spotted on the London Underground, and then I kind of wanted to cry about it.
Getting a job in fashion is hard. Like hard hard, the industry isn't for the faint-hearted. But Bottega Venetta is hoping to ease the pressure a little bit by announcing the opening of its fashion design academy. Dubbed "Accademia Labor et Ingenium," the new institution will welcome creatives from all backgrounds, guaranteeing jobs at Bottega Veneta upon graduation. More of this, please.
Ever since I laid eyes on this Vogue España shoot from February 2000 featuring Penelope Cruz I have been obsessed. Literally obsessed. Look at it, just look!
The streetwear machine is the hypebeast that just keeps on giving. Complex ranked the top 25 most powerful people in streetwear right now based on overall impact, current relevance, body of work, and consistency. And who took the number one spot? Well, that'd be none other than Teddy Santos – the brains behind Aimé Leon Dore. No surprises there really.
Space is getting in on the high fashion game. Yep, in an unexpected plot twist astronauts on an upcoming 2025 NASA mission will be decked out in Prada spacesuits. I mean, I guess this is what we're doing now. Unnecessary, but cool. Space age cool.
