I know I know, it's been a while. With the relaunch of this newsletter, and the weeks worth of content that coincided with that, I hadn't had a chance to do one of my favourite types of posts, a monthly best in fashion round-up.
So much is always going on in the world of fashion, from celebrity outfits that go viral to new product drops and brand collaborations, the fashion clock is constantly ticking and it's intriguing to see what will come next.
As always, have a look at my favourite celebrity fashion, street style looks, and the new-in product drops/brand launches that I'm excited about.
Celebrity fashion
There's something very IDGAF I’ve just rolled out of bed about Tom Holland's look while strolling the streets of NYC, and I'm kind of here for it. It's what I'd assume celebrities wear after a really hard night out when they're trying to pop to their local bodega - incognito - to buy aspirin and a bag of hot flamin cheetos (the best kind). Also, big big fan of the Hello Kitty pyjama bottoms.
Bella Hadid is giving off very modern The Matrix vibes while out and about in The Big Apple. I love the Burberry trench and leather trousers/boot combo, and I'd be intrigued to know what exactly is in that Louis Vuitton bag where she clearly just made a purchase.
Timothée Chalamet is such a sweetheart, and a great young actor at that, it's kind of hard not to love him right? I'll be honest for me his attire can be very hit or miss, but this updated version of smart casual is exactly the type of thing I imagine Gen Z are wearing to prom these days. And I'm not mad at it.
Street style
If you were to look at my saved folders on Instagram, you'd find a lot of Marianne Theodorsen’s outfit pics saved there. I'm continuously impressed by her use of colour and clashing prints, and I think she balances a luxury aesthetic with a mix of vintage and high-street pieces really well.
I've been really into square-toed shoes lately, and the brown loafers in this middle image are exactly the kind of addition I need to my wardrobe. I'm really into the knitted jumper and neckerchief as well, this is a great outfit for brunch with friends or casual window shopping.
You know that saying less is more? Well sometimes more is more, and that's exactly the energy I get from this carefully coordinated pink ensemble. Love the knee length fuschia jacket, and I especially love the knee-high pink toned boots.
New-in product drops/brand launches
This structured faux leather shearling-trimmed jacket from The Frankie Shop is exactly the type of things MY fashion dreams are made of, literally. I love the boxy silhouette, the flap front popper pockets, and the fixed throat latch that’s ideal for winter weather.
I'm a hugeeee anime fan - especially anything Studio Ghibli - and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw PORTER released a selection of bags honouring one of my favourite movies from Ghibli, My Neighbor Totoro. I particularly love the cream shearling and khaki canvas crossbody bag.
I'm not sure anything is as hard to get a hold of as these New Balance trainers, not even The One Ring from Lord of the Rings. Needless to say, I won't stop until I own a pair. Send me your contacts, links, and trainer connections - much appreciated in advance. Also, feel free to send me a pair if you so desire. Much obliged.
What celebrity fashion looks have caught your eye recently? What street style trends are you going to try out, if any? I'd love to know what's on your fashion wish list, and any upcoming fashion releases you're excited about.
