June 2022: Best In Fashion
So much is always going on in the world of fashion, from celebrity outfits that go viral to new product drops and brand collaborations, the fashion clock is constantly ticking and it's intriguing to see what will come next.
As always, have a look at my favourite celebrity fashion, street style looks, and the new-in product drops/brand launches that I'm excited about.
Celebrity fashion
This Miley Cyrus outfit shouldn’t work but it totally does, I don’t know where to begin… I love the asymmetrical distressed leopard print skirt with the slit, I love that it's layered over a gold lace figure-hugging dress, I love the gold lace and rose detail on the dress itself and I love the scalloped neckline that’s flattering yet sexy. The 70s tinted shades and blowout also stop this outfit from airing on the side of tacky. It’s a yes from me.Â
Post Malone is a forever favourite of mine. I love his IDGAF attitude, and this outfit just proves he doesn’t care what people think - this is also totally something I’d wear myself. His tattoos peek out from under his oversized rock’n’roll tee and are hard to separate from the design of the tee itself, and I like that. I like the prairie style skirt that reminds me of the Wizard of Oz, the hem of the skirt seems to match up with the tee and its an A+ for effort. A pair of knee-high PVC boots could work to complete this ‘fit, or a simple pair of Converse would look just as good.
Okay, so I wasn’t sure if a KarJenner would ever make it onto this newsletter but here we are. Kendall Jenner in Positano for her sister's wedding in this two-piece skirt suit is the kind of easy carefree glamour I think we should be seeing more of from this clan. The whole wedding was low-key sponsored by D&G, a brand I know we all raise eyebrows at, but this look spoke to me that much I couldn’t pass it by without a mention.
Street style
This head-to-toe Jil Sander outfit on Anna Borisovna is something I imagine Andy Sachs would wear after her glow-up in The Devil Wears Prada. The boxy oversized silhouette of the top is balanced out by tucking it into the midi skirt with the thigh-high slit and scalloped detailing, it's a power move suit fashion insiders will just love. I know because I do.
I love Amina Muaddi’s style, her shoe line is amazing (I want pretty much everything she designs) but I think she’s evolved to being a street style star in her own right alongside her clear design talent. Warmer weather is coming, and these white tones and lightweight pieces layered over each other work well together for this weird transitional weather we’re currently experiencing.
This complete suiting ‘fit from Michalina Murawska - fashion editor at Vogue Polska - has inspired me to go on the hunt for a similar tailored fit. The great thing about suiting is that you can wear it all together as Murawska does, or you can wear each piece separately to get more bang for your buck. There’s something about tailoring that makes you look so effortless and like you have your shit together, even if you don't. Yes yes yes.
New-in product drops/brand launches
Supreme and Nike, two of my favourite favourite brands, have come together to release a collection. My favourite piece is this camouflage print cotton fleece hoodie that all the hypebeasts will be scrambling to get. I mean I would if I could, but I’m sure it's sold out already.
My ring collection is growing, and it's something I’m pretty proud of. I would love to add something from Gala Colivet Dennison to my stack pretty soon, and I have my eyes on this sterling silver and quartz beauty.
In case you couldn’t tell already, I’m a big fan of anything leopard print. I’d love nothing more than a matching leopard print set, and this vintage leopard heart set from Moschino is definitely up my street. Big shades, chunky boots and a ton of gold jewellery would have my embracing my Jenny from the block era.
What celebrity fashion looks have caught your eye recently? What street style trends are you going to try out, if any? I'd love to know what's on your fashion wish list, and any upcoming fashion releases you're excited about.
