March 2022: Best In Fashion
So much is always going on in the world of fashion, from celebrity outfits that go viral to new product drops and brand collaborations, the fashion clock is constantly ticking and it's intriguing to see what will come next.
As always, have a look at my favourite celebrity fashion, street style looks, and the new-in product drops/brand launches that I'm excited about.
Celebrity fashion
Did Andrew Garfield just step straight out of the 70s? This is an example of that in-between seasonal dressing at its finest: the burnt orange suede jacket is smartly tailored yet not uncomfortably so, the shirt undone at the top button says ‘I’m cool but I’m not trying to hard’, and the check trousers with the cream and gum sole coloured sneakers gives this look a fresh springtime feel.
Is that really you Andrea Sachs? Joseph and his technicolour dream coat could neverrrr. I’m always down for a coordinated outfit, and this matching jumpsuit with the matching belt with the matching hourglass blazer worn tres chic over-the-shoulders meets all the criteria. Christopher John Rogers really outdid himself, Ms Hathaway is 100% ready for spring.Â
Zoe Kravitz is a forever girl crush of mine. I mean, I’m preaching to the choir here right? I’m no stranger to darkness and a monochromatic black outfit will always be my go-to, even if I have been embracing wearing more colour as of late. The chunky patent platform boot is ideal for petite ladies like myself, and I feel like you could fit the kitchen sink (and some) in the croc-effect bag. I hate wearing suede myself - can’t stand the feel of the material - but these cropped flares may convince me to rethink my stance.Â
Street style
This level of colour-blocking is genius, and iconic, and something I wish I had the power to do when putting together an outfit. The shapes and proportions of this look are executed really well, and the orange popsicle coloured trousers have me suddenly craving a Fanta with ice.
I don’t know who this little sassy mare is - I think she may be Nev Schulman’s daughter - but wow is she giving off major energy. I love the pigtails, I love the quilted green coat with the shearling collar and I love the navy cargo turn-ups that feel very APC. This is 1000% something my adult self would wear.
One of my favourite street style stars - and resident handbag expert at Vogue Scandinavia - @marianne_theodorsen strikes again. This may be a more practical and wearable version of Joseph’s technicolour dream coat, and the crochet detail and design makes this trench feel all the more special and unique - elevating it beyond a basic trench into something fashion cottagecore dreams are made of.
New-in product drops/brand launches
Now even though this dress is bridal couture, it's giving me total baddie vibes and I can just see all my fellow wannabe thot princesses rocking this to the club (or wherever they're hanging out these days). The feather boa trim, the satin material and elbow-length gloves could work for a 21st century Marilyn Monroe don't you think?
I don't need another pair of trainers, I mean I really really don't need another pair of trainers, but I wouldn't say no to this latest drop from Nike - the Air Force 1 Fontanka Tortoiseshell is the brand's latest release exclusively for members.
YSL isn't at the top of my designer brand radar that I'd eventually like to buy into, but I would absolutely positively not say no to these knee-high diamante encrusted caged boots. Add an oversized tee, some shades, and you could look like a typical LA influencer trying *but not trying* to get papped.Â
What celebrity fashion looks have caught your eye recently? What street style trends are you going to try out, if any? I'd love to know what's on your fashion wish list, and any upcoming fashion releases you're excited about.
