Here we go again, back at it with my latest offering ‘October 2021: Best In Fashion’. This month I’ve included my favourite celebrity outfits, street style looks that are worth a double take, and new-in product drops/brand launches that should be brought to your attention.
You ready? Then lets get into it…
Celebrity fashion
Meghan Markle in this autumnal monochromatic fit? Yes please. A slouchy suit is ideal as we recommence in-person meetings, and I’ll applaud anyone who can match their shoes to their trousers to their jumper to their coat etc…
Zendaya (fave) styled by Law Roach wearing Rick Owens while on a press tour for her new movie, Dune. Also slightly biased as this look was worn to the London red carpet, its giving me the energy I need to finish off the year.
Mrs Hailey Bieber in a look that couldn’t better describe my own personal style. Head-to-toe black so you can’t see the dirt? Check. Bucket hat to hide tired eyes? Check. Trainers so you can make a fast exit? Check.
Street style
Alexandra Carl, fashion director and consultant, by one of my favourite street style photographers, Tommy Ton - proving that you can wear a Canadian tuxedo anytime, anywhere. Double denim is a failsafe combination for autumn/winter.
There’s something so appealing about bringing a masculine edge to something so feminine, as evidenced here by Kimberly Drew pairing a pleated floaty dress with chunky studded brogues and vintage-esque sunglasses.
Another one by Tommy Ton - the younger generation are showing up and showing out. Fun and freeing, they aren’t afraid to express themselves through fashion and are unapologetically themselves.
New-in product drops/brand launches
This NYON x Magnolia Bakery limited edition collection is as sweet as you could imagine, the pastel hues and matching separates are the perfect cooler weather companion. Unfortunately this collection is now sold-out, but here’s to hoping they do something similar soon.
Aime Leon Dore are one of my favourite unisex brands I happened to stumble across when I was window shopping in Copenhagen (I obviously bought something from them). They’ve just dropped the second instalment of their Fall/Winter ‘21 line - its as cosy as you could imagine.
These broken heart rings (sold separately) by Rat Betty Jewellery are genius. Buy one, buy both, you have one while your partner or bestie has the other.. Endless possibilities. I like them so much, I may just buy both.
What do you think of this new shorter fashionable format, do you like this ‘best in fashion’ post? Are these looks giving you outfit inspiration? Have you added some of these items to your wish lists?
Let me know your thoughts and feedback, I want to know what you want from J’Nae Writes. Comments are open…
