Trend predictions are a funny ol’ thing — I should know, I work in the trend forecasting space (sometimes). I hard agree with

Here’s an excuse for some fashion-induced screen time…
Slithering into 2025 in style, Miu Miu celebrates the Year of the Snake with a dazzling short film, The Encounter. Helmed by Shujun Wei, this cinematic gem features brand ambassadors Liu Haocun and Zhao Jinmai as the story unfolds in a Cantonese tea restaurant in Beijing. I want a seat at this table.
This will be the second time in this newsletter I’ve mentioned the LV x Murakami collab (see below), but bare with me. I’m an anime fan girl through and through, and these ‘Superflat’ short films which have been remastered for this latest link-up are the type of thing my fashion dreams are made of.
How did I miss this? Lacoste joined forces with Maison Château Rouge towards the end of last year in a campaign channelling the countercultural spirit of Paris’s underground creative scene mixed with West African design elements. The video visuals are also a dose of nostalgic cinematic charm.

Hosted by the Creative Director and Founder of Awake NY, Angelo Baque, Business of HYPE from HYPEBEAST platforms intimate conversations with some of your favourite creatives. I enjoyed this episode with Vashtie Kola, whose influence on the streetwear scene is unmatched.
Who would’ve thought to bring together a pro footballer, footballer turned content creator, and fashion and lifestyle guru to helm a podcast? Well, PUMA did, that’s who. Green Flags is on a climate conscious mission, and this episode about leather and shoes poses some interesting questions.
I regularly tune into The Debrief Podcast by Business of Fashion to stay up to date with all of the latest industry goings on. This episode about the future of resale shows just how much the second-hand market has evolved as people love nothing more than a good thrift, but at what cost?

Global: from a cartoon wonderland cafe in London to global pop-ups in Milan, New York, Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Singapore, Louis Vuitton and Murakami are celebrating the re-release of their collection 20 years down the line. Zendaya fronted the campaign, and peep the Murakami Tamagotchi.
Paris: Stephen Jones is the name to know on the millinery scene. Rising to fashionable heights in the late seventies, he’s worked with everyone from Boy George to Lady Gaga and Dior. The Palais Galliera is paying tribute to the designer with an exhibition spanning his decades-long eccentric career.
Shanghai: Bvlgari is kicking off the Year of the Snake celebrations in Shanghai in style. The Serpenti Infinito Exhibition, held at Zhangyuan until February 16, showcases 28 artworks by 19 Chinese and international artists, including 11 exclusive pieces. Anne Hathaway and Liu Yifei pulled up to the opening event.
Over on TikTok…
The boning! The embroidery! The silhouettes! Jackson of Wiederhoeft really is that designer.

Anyone remember JNCO jeans? I don’t think I was ready for this comeback, but here we are. They are a sight to behold, and I kind of stan.

This is the exact energy I have whenever I buy something new. Long may it continue, because life is for living (and feeling cute while you do it).
