'Balenciagites' take over Shanghai with their subversive, over-the-top outfits seen out on the streets in full force.
And clickbait-y, doppelgänger campaigns fail to deliver no matter how much buzz they generate.
In this carefully constructed fashion landscape, the art of fashion performance is what has people talking.

OTB begins using NFC tags: the OTB fashion group will start installing NFC chips in every garment and accessory from the AW24 season for brands such as Maison Margiela, Marni and Jil Sander. Additional product info will also be available, confirming product authenticity and craftsmanship.
Alexander Wang's doppelgänger campaign falls short: the latest Alexander Wang campaign has fans of the brand seeing double as celeb impersonators were used to debut the Rico bag. The internet quickly called the brand out, with one X user stating: "oh the budget was LOW." Ouch.
KidSuper teams up with Cirque du Soleil for SS25: this show has got to be one of the shows of the season. For SS25, KidSuper teamed up with Cirque du Soleil to explore the relationship between men's fashion, the circus, and art, showcasing fashion creativity and a non-traditional runway show approach.

Louis Vuitton sells Nutella and fragrances: I know chocolate spread has been hit by inflation, but I don't think I'd ever be able to part with $500 for LV chocolate spread. Elsewhere, Pharrell has debuted his first fragrance for Vuitton named 'LVERS' which supposedly "smells like sunshine".

Veronica Leoni is in at Calvin Klein: Calvin Klein is restarting its high-end collection under the creative oversight of its first female creative director, Veronica Leoni. Finally, a female lead who is one of the few non-white men to be appointed to the top of the creative side of a major brand in the last year.
Shanghai is teaming with Balenciaga die-hards: from stylists and club owners to nursery teachers and CEOs, Shanghai is a city teaming with Balenciaga superfans - aka 'Balenciagites'. They love Demna, they style Balenciaga head to toe, and they show up and show out in full force.
Grandma Chola is an accidental fashion icon: fashion really is ageless, and if anyone ever tells you any different, they are wrong. Case in point, @legendary_glamma is one pensioner proving that no matter your age, fashion can be bold, experimental, and fun. I envy her wardrobe.
